Lilian Meurin stands out on the music scene as one of the most talented euphoniumists of his generation.

After beginning his musical studies at La Gorgue, in the North of France, he joined Jean-Luc Petitprez’s class at the Douai Conservatory before being admitted, at the age of 15, to the National Conservatory of Music in Paris with Philippe Fritsch. A master’s degree awarded unanimously with the congratulations of the jury crowns his career in this prestigious institution. Lilian is laureate of many international competitions : Luxembourg International Competition, Tours International Competition (France), Jeju International Competition (South Korea).

With a career in full expansion, Lilian has already performed in Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Colombia, Greece, England, South Korea and especially on very prestigious scenes : Royal Albert Hall (London), Bruckner Symphony House (Linz), Birmingham Symphony Hall, Jeju Art Center (Jeju), Radio France Auditorium etc…

In France, Lilian is regularly invited to work with symphonic orchestras such as the Paris Chamber Orchestra, the Rouen National Opera, the Lamoureux Orchestra and the Orchester National de France and many others.

His interest in chamber music led him to express himself in different formations such as Saxhornia (saxhorn quartet and piano) and alongside Victor Métral with whom he recorded in 2018 his first album Poèmes at the label IndéSENS Record (euphonium and piano).

The brass band is an essential part of his career. Lilian is regularly invited to perform in England alongside great masters of the discipline such as Robert Childs, Russel Gray, Frank Renton and many others. Since 2016, he has been Euphonium Solo of the Hauts de France Bass Band with whom he has won the best soloist prize at the 42nd European Brass Band Championships in the Netherlands (Utrecht 2018). A first in the history for a Frenchman.

Invited for his artistic as well as pedagogical qualities, Lilian is regularly invited for master classes (Portugal, Colombia and France). He teaches at the conservatory of the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
